①oneself“自己；本人”常用以加大语气，侧重“个人”。比如：
I do the cleaning myself. 我一个人做打扫卫生的工作。
②for oneself“为自己；代表自己”。比如：
Uncle Herbertnever argued, never spoke up for himself.赫伯特叔叔从不争论，从不为自己辩护。
③for oneself“独立地；亲自地”常可与personally互换，强调“无需其他人的帮忙”。比如：
You're going tohave to shift for yourself from now on. 从今将来，你就得一个人谋生了。（独立）
If you don'tbelieve me, go and see for yourself!如果不信我说的，你一个人去看看！（亲自）
